You always want me to say "those" words
But I'm embarrassed to, so I won't say them
They're such ordinary words; If we're together, then that's wonderful too
Well then, I hope that that becomes my favorite phrase, forever

You're engrossed in shopping and say "I wonder if this looks good on me?"
The city captures my eyes as we walk
A pretty girl passes by; "That's the kind of girl you like, isn't it!?" You say
You automatically pout, and hide your heart

We can't understand each other, can we? Without words
So let me hear them sometimes; Though I've found the answer that I'm looking for

When I'm asked "Do you like pretty girls?"
Of course I can't say that I don't like them
But I really can think lovingly about
And why is this? Your flaws, more so than hers

There are things more important than those that can be seen with the eye
You can think beautifully of the same things, in the same way
You sometimes forget about those ordinary things
And are unable to see them, but
Passing through time, I have the confidence
To really keep on loving
Even your bad points forever

Well then, I hope that these words become my favorite phrase, forever
