| A caravel is a small and highly maneuverable two or three masted ship. It was used by the Portuguese and Spanish for exploratory voyages starting in the 15th century. Also, some may be wondering why "gou" is written after the name of the pirate ship "Going Merry" (For those who don't know, this is the name of the Straw Hat Pirates (mugiwara kaizoku dan) ship in One Piece). This is something that's commonly done to indicate a name given to an inanimate object. It's basically just a suffix that holds no real translatable meaning. |
