| It should be noted that this song is absolutely full of puns on character names. Just for instance, in one line, Sakura sings "nan to ka Naruto". This is a play on the phrase "nan to ka naru to" ("Things will work out somehow"), with Naruto's name. We've tried to indicate the parts in the song in which this is done, by writing the character names capitalized. It actually got the point where in some parts, I was unsure whether to use the literal translation, or the one involving the character name. Also, we left the names of the character special attacks/abilities untranslated (for the most part), since so many fansubbers have so many different interpretations about what they mean. We decided that it was best to let the reader of this translation interpret them in his or her favorite way. Also, I don't know what fansubbers call it, but the giant toad that Naruto can summon is the "Gama Oyabin". |
