| The chorus of this song is basically one huge play on words. "otento sama" is a very very old phrase that is used to refer to the sun itself. Note the ending of "sama", indicating greatness. It's less formal equivlanet is of course "san". And the name of this song is "sun" (if you say it with a Japanese accent, it comes out as "san"). So as you can see, all of these words are either related, or sound alike. Very clever, really! |
