"natsu" is "summer" and "moyou" is actually "a pattern, design or sign". It seemed better to use "sign", instead of "design", or "pattern". "washizukami" is like squeezing, or grabbing. This combined with "gyutto" is actually holding someone's hand so tight. I'm more satisfied in translating this literally as being firmly held by someone by the hand.

The evening sun faces the other side of the window
As the sound slowly fades
The scenery sinks in my heart
As my hand is firmly being held by you
While holding onto a small dream,
I stumbled down over someone
Our knees rubbed against each other on that blue summer day
The thistle flowers bloomed, coming out from the small path of road
I pursued you, against the chirping crickets
Blurred in the heat of the evening sun
A summer sign, on that day
The silence has awoken in my heart
Lately, I have been forgetting...
About stopping to look
I flowed through the streets and people
Like a strayed cloud
It seems that you draw a watercolor painting
In the evening where I was running
On that blue summer day
Even now the thistle flower blooms on the small path of road
Can't you hear the crickets chirping?
That day hasn't yet returned
A summer sign, on that day
This time I'm going to meet you...
I'm going to meet you.
When I close my eyes, looking up to the sky above
The blowing wind has made me forget
About the blue summer, and I smell the same smell
As my smile slowly surfaces
The thistle flowers bloomed, coming out from the small path of road
I pursued you, against the chirping crickets
Blurred in the heat of the evening sun
A summer sign, on that day
The silence has awoken in my heart
