"my pace" doesn't mean what it romanizes into literally. It, of course, refers to the person being described (in this case the "great king"). So when you hear "MY pace", unless the person is talking about themselves, it doesn't actually mean THEIR pace! "sol-fa" refers to the singing of the sounds typically used to represent the major scale: "do re mi fa sol la ti". The line "the demons are outside, good fortune is inside" is what is said on the end of winter holiday "setsubun" ("bean throwing day"). Beans are thrown in homes and in offices to drive the demons away, and bring about good luck. This song was also the opening theme to first season of the TV anime "Genshiken".

I wake up in the morning; as usual, I've forgotten my cellphone, and I've missed the fast train
Life is reflected in the window of the slow train
"All throughout Japan, No one will be defeated even once"
That may be the case
But I secretly think "isn't that sad?"
But I can't run fast
I'm not all that strong
But here I go now, at my own persistant pace
To today's sadness, I say get out of here; the sunshine is pouring down
Hesitation, repeating the same failures; overnight is the best time to have dreams......
Farewell sadness, go and get outside of the earth's atmosphere!
Aim for high up in the sky, raise up your loud voice!
At this tempo!
Worrying and thinking
I tear pages off of the calendar without hesitation, until the day
A morning has come that cannot be changed again for the better
Paying a little bit of mind to my surroundings, I run to see it
I'm very nearly out of breath
There's nothing I can do about my thoughts
Down that glass in one gulp
Sol-fa over the sky, in this beautiful voice
Fly and scatter away, today's sadness, in a screaming ball
Shining light, shine some more over here!
I welcome tomorrow, the demons are outside, good fortune is inside
Aim for high up in the sky, raise up your loud voice!
I welcome tomorrow......
Fly and scatter away, today's sadness, in a screaming ball
Shining light, shine some more over here!
Now, at this tempo!
