Urata is the oldest and tallest member of the group AAA, as well as their leader. He also has solo activities under his name, Urata Naoya, typically written in romanized letters and not in kanji, katakana, or hiragana. Though his first solo release was not until 2009, he first began his solo activities in 2008 at a AAA concert at Nippon Budoukan with "Baby Bang! feat. SPHERE".
