Moritaka Chisato

Information:
Moritaka began her career in show business as the spokes-woman for the sports drink Pocari Sweat (she won the Pocari Sweat Image Girl Contest) in 1986. Her singing career would begin just one year later, and she became immediately
known as the "Dance Queen" for her exceptionally skilled on-stage dancing.
She was also different from the other female singers of the day, being that she wrote all of her own lyrics and
sometimes even her own music. Whether or not she wrote her own music though, she would often play drums, piano, clarinet, and even other instruments on her own tracks. Many of her songs were used as commercial jingles in the 90's, and she appeared frequently on Japanese music and variety programs.
As the 90's came to a close, Moritaka ceased to release new material. She married actor Eguchi Yousuke, with whom
she had two children (a son and a daughter).
In early 2007 Moritaka would make a small comeback, when she sang a song written for a Nissan Automobile commercial.
