This duo originated as a trio, with former member Nishioka Yukiko. Nishioka left the group in 1994 to pursue a writing career.

Most of the group's arguably more well known songs were performed by See-Saw as a duo: Obsession, kimi wa boku ni niteiru, etc. They are well known amongst anime fans, since many of their songs have been featured as anime theme songs.

The group disbanded in 1995, but would reform in 2001. While they are not currently disbanded, they are not necessarily active as a group either. Kajiura is quite active in solo composition activities, as well as with her FictionJunction project. Ishikawa also has her own solo activities.
