HAL
Information:
Though now this duo primarily writes music and does arrangements for other artists/groups, they were once a group themselves. They began arranging in 1999 (at this time the group was made up of Umesaki Toshiharu, Satou Atsushi and Nakano Yuta), and became particularly well known for the work that they did with Hamasaki Ayumi, Suzuki Ami, KinKi Kids, Every Little Thing, and dream.
In 2000 they casted to find a female vocalist for this duo to become a group. The vocalist that they found was HALNA. They would temporarily stop their arranging work after forming this group.
Nakano would leave the group in 2001 to pursue arranging and remixing on his own.
They would go on to release seven singles and two albums, and break up in 2003. This was primarily due to HALNA wanting to leave the group. Satou Atsushi would also leave the group to do arranging on his own under the name "ats-". HAL would then go back to doing arrangements and song writing.
