Though as a singer she is known only by "sona", her full name is Yoon Son-ha (she is Korean). She is also an actress and television host, and is fluent in Japanese. She may be best known in Japan for starring in the drama "Fighting Girl" with popular Japanese actress Fukuda Kyoko. She got married to a Korean entrepreneur in 2006, which was the source of some controversy. She stated that she wanted to marry a Korean man and live in South Korea, thereby alienating her male Japanese fans. She also made comments about Japanese food being lacking, and how Japanese did not eat enough Korean food (which she obviously was implying was better).
