Information:
Wada Akiko is essentially a Japanese entertainment living legend. Nicknamed "Ako" by her fans, she is both a singer, TV host, actress, and comedian, all rolled into one. She began her career as a singer, and has since come to be considered one of Japan's foremost soul singers. She's even been dubbed the Japanese version of James Brown. She's hosted countless numbers of variety shows, some of which focus on her, and her views of the current Japanese entertainment industry. Ako is known for not being afraid to criticize other entertainment personalities openly, when they've done something that she feels deserves it, or have a bad general attitude. She is an automatic inclusion each year for Japan's huge end of year music program, NHK's "kouhaku uta gassen". She is always one of the final performers, which proves her place of honor amongst the Japanese public. She has also collaborated with hip-hop group m-flo for the song "Hey!", under the name "M-flo loves Akiko Wada".
