Kitadani is well known for being a performer (and sometimes composer) of primarily anime music. His debut song "We Are!" was the opening theme to the popular anime "One Piece", and made him recognized on the anime music scene immediately. He has also performed theme songs for other anime series, as well as the tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider". Since 2002, Kitadani has also been a part of the anime music super group JAM Project. He has also been involved with other groups, including Lapis Lazuli and Stagger.
