Mikawa Kenichi will be most well known to those who watch NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen at the end of each year. Like clockwork, he appears each year in a lavish costume to perform in. Mikawa is known to cross-dress in female costumes whenever he makes public appearances, but does not necessarily try to carry himself as a woman.
