Information:
Cocco is from Okinawa. She ceased her career in 2001, due to medical problems, and the desire to return to Okinawa. Though she has written/performed a song or two since her retirement, it's always been for some type of cause. For instance, she released a song for her campaign to help the terrible conditions of Okinawa's beaches. She has also published two different art books since ceasing her activities.
