The band's official translation for their own name is "Tokyo Incidents". Though this group debuted in 2004, they didn't technically. This is Shiina Ringo's backing band, during her solo career, that they had worked with since the Sugoroku Ecstasy tour, with only minor modifications (at the time, it featured guitarist Mikio Hirama, and keyboardist HZM). Shiina Ringo wanted to go from having a solo career to being a part of a band, to take herself a bit more out of the public eye.
