Fukuyama's most well known nickname is "Masha", which came from his father's pronunciation of his name (his father had trouble with his teeth). Fukuyama has also done photography for several major events (primarily sporting events), as it is one of his primary hobbies.

In addition to being a musician, Fukuyama has appeared in several TV dramas. When starring Fukuyama, these dramas are considered (even beforehand) to be instant successes. His roles are always very anticipated.
