Kouda has her first couple of singles released in the U.S. not long after they were released in Japan, even though she was a new artist at that point. She's also been involved in several interesting projects, such as having two of her songs featured in the video game Final Fantasy X II. Also, she worked with famous Korean/Japanese pop star BoA to release a single produced by the famous Tetsuya Komuro called "The Meaning of Peace". The purpose of the song was to honor the victims of the September 11th incidents.
